Welcome to Traveller Hiker. By visiting our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About us

2. Using our website
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use it to send harmful or misleading content. You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
3. Products and descriptions
We try to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. Colours may look slightly different on your screen, and measurements may vary a little. If a product is described incorrectly, we will correct it and contact you about any affected order.
4. Prices
All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). We may change prices at any time, but the price you see at checkout when you place your order is the price you pay. If we find a pricing error after you order, we will contact you and give you the choice to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
5. Orders and acceptance
When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if there is a pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund you in full.
6. Payment
Payment is made online at checkout using the payment methods shown there. Payments are processed through our secure checkout provider, and we do not store your full card details. Your order is only processed once payment is confirmed.
7. Discounts and promotions
Discount codes, such as welcome offers, are valid only for the terms shown with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, a code can be used once per customer and cannot be combined with other offers. We may withdraw a promotion at any time.
8. Shipping and delivery
We currently deliver within South Africa. Free shipping applies to orders over R750. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Please see our Shipping & Delivery page for details on shipping costs, processing times and delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us, so please make sure your address is correct and complete.
9. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Please see our Refund Policy for how returns and refunds work. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under South African consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. If you buy from us online, you may have the right to cancel an order and return the goods within the period set by law, provided the goods are in their original, unused condition.
10. Faulty or incorrect goods
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or not as ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will repair, replace or refund the item as required by law.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including our name, logo, designs, graphics, photos and text, belongs to Traveller Hiker or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce or use any of it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
12. Privacy
We collect and use your personal information only to process orders, provide support and improve our service, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please see our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, how we use it and your rights.
13. Limitation of liability
We take care to keep this website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or our products. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you place your order applies to that order.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled by the South African courts, without limiting your right to approach the National Consumer Commission or the relevant ombud.
